Viewers across markets are showing an increased preference for watching video content on smartphones with larger screen sizes while in India it is largely on smaller devices (4.6 -5 inches). According to a survey by Vuclip, a video-on-demand service, more than a fifth of Indian respondents said buffering remained a key roadblock to video consumption on smartphones. The propensity to stream videos is much higher in developed markets as compared to developing countries owing to better network connectivity. In India, smartphones are largely preferred for streaming only on account of limited storage space.
