    All 133 members present in the 175-member House, when the division vote was taken at 6 pm, voted in favour and the resolution under Article 169 (1) of the Constitution was adopted unanimously.

    Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who is contesting from the New Delhi seat for the third time, urged people to support his party just like in the 2015 Assembly polls, to make Delhi a city of international standards. In the last Assembly election, AAP won 67 out of 70 Assembly seats and the BJP got the rest three while the Congress drew a blank.

    Not only are the candidates for the February 8 assembly polls richer than the last time around, but they are also older. From 143 candidates with assets worth Rs 1 crore or more fielded by AAP, BJP and Congress in 2015, the number has gone up to 164 in 2020 for the three parties or their allies.

    BJP's candidate from Hari Nagar, Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga has been sent a notice from poll authorities for his campaign video song where he has been asked why the expenditure on the song shouldn't be added to his poll expenses. Bagga was asked to reply within 48 hours, failing which the "decision of the MCM will be final," the notice said.

    In the survey, released on Sunday, people from across the country expressed their views over important aspects with included rating the performance of their Chief Ministers, the state governments, the Leaders of the Opposition, their MLAs and MPs.

    Alka Lamba who quit AAP and returned to the Congress fold last year, claimed that her constituency would see a "one-sided contest as the AAP will find it difficult to explain to the people why it has fielded someone whom it termed 'corrupt' in 2015". The AAP has fielded Prahlad Singh, who contested the 2015 oolls from the same seat on a Congress ticket.

    Addressing a public meeting in Greater Kailash, Kejriwal said his government has worked very hard to improve schools and hospitals and it is for Delhi's betterment that the Aam Aadmi Party needs to win the assembly election scheduled on February 8. Attacking Home Minister Amit Shah, Kejriwal said he has been repeatedly criticised by the BJP leader over installation of CCTV cameras.

    The Election Commission's action came after the office of the Delhi Chief Electoral Officer wrote to the EC to remove the tweet posted by Mishra on Thursday, EC officials said.

    Addressing a public meeting in Rohini, Kejriwal said he was very happy to hear Home Minister Amit Shah talk about unauthorised colonies, education and health in his speech as it shows that the AAP government has changed the narrative of politics in the country.
