    17 constituencies will go to polls in the third pase of polling in Jharkhand on December 12 in which 309 candidates are in the fray. The most important battles will be seen in Ranchi from where State minister C P Singh is seeking a fifth term.     The third phase of polling will decide the fate of legislators in 17 seats out of the total 81 assembly constituencies. A total of 309 candidates, including 32 women, are contesting from 17 assembly seats. The constituencies, including two reserved for SC candidates and one ST candidate, in which voting is being held are spread over eight districts in the state.

    While polling at Ranchi, Hatia, Kanke, Barkatha and Ramgarh seats will end at 5 pm, voters in rest of the constituencies can exercise their franchise till 3 pm. The fate of 309 candidates, including 32 women nominees, will be decided in the third leg of the elections. The assembly elections to the 81-member House began on November 30 and will end on December 20.

Prashant Kishor-led political consultancy firm I-PAC is currently working on the Trinamool Congress' re-election campaign for the 2021 West Bengal Assembly polls.

A total 47,24,968 voters, including women and third gender voters will decide the fate of 260 candidates, the EC sources said.
