HC asks IIT-Guwahati to refund alumni fee
IIT-G has been charging Rs 1,500 as one-time alumni fund fees from first-year students since 2016, even though its board of governors had said only final-year students should pay this amount. The institute claimed the fee collection was “based on a resolution by IIT Council of India,” according to a copy of the court order reviewed by ET.
