According to the portfolio-sharing arrangement that is being worked out by the three main parties, NCP’s Jayant Patil, who has already been sworn in as a minister, could become the deputy chief minister and given the home portfolio. Peaceful polling in Jharkhand, 45.14 pc polling till 1 pm
The third phase of polling will decide the fate of legislators in 17 seats out of the total 81 assembly constituencies. A total of 309 candidates, including 32 women, are contesting from 17 assembly seats. The constituencies, including two reserved for SC candidates and one ST candidate, in which voting is being held are spread over eight districts in the state.

"Instead of fighting over small issues, it is better to tolerate some things. It is good to share issues which you feel strongly about. If both parties work together, it is beneficial for both," he said. "It is not that Shiv Sena will never go with the BJP again. Uddhav Thackeray will take the right decision at the right time," Joshi said.

Maharashtra cabinet nod to raise contingency fund to Rs 5,350 crore
Of the total corpus, Rs 5,000 crore will be earmarked for providing relief to farmers affected by unseasonal rains and Rs 350 crore for expenditure towards judicial cases, a statement from the Chief Minister's Office (CMO) said. The mandatory limit of the fund is Rs 150 crore, which is increased time-to-time to meet urgent expenditure.
