It's time for India’s cricket fraternity to back Rishabh Pant
Rishabh Pant’s mental strength will be key as he deals with a rough patch — and realises sports is as much about failure as success. For motivation, he has to only look at Kohli & Rohit. Meanwhile, the cricket fraternity should back him up. This is what international sport is all about. It isn’t about success and more success.

The new Rohit Sharma in full flow
Rohit became only the second Indian opener to score three centuries in a series, after the great Sunil Gavaskar back in 1978. The innings also took Rohit’s average at home to 99.84 taking him past Sir Don Bradman who scored at 98.22 per innings in Australia.
Show intent at the top
India, while batting first at least, has approached the T20 game much like the way they approach the 50-over format. Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma are champions of the 50-over contest and have time to up the tempo after settling in. They have done that time and again in the last few years.

However, India’s T20 strategy needs to evolve keeping in mind the bigger grounds in Australia where power-hitting will be at a premium at the T20 World Cup next year.

India look to try more combinations to prepare for the T20 World Cup
It is an interesting time for Kohli to miss out. One, it allows him an iota of rest in what is going to be a hectic schedule stretching into autumn of 2020. Two, and more importantly, it will allow him to watch this side from the outside.
Rohit Sharma becomes third Indian to reach top 10 in all three formats
