Air India to start flying on Mumbai-Nairobi route from November 27

Alliance Air starts flight operations on Ahmedabad-Kandla route
Flight operation on the route was started on Monday. Kandla is Alliance Air's 55th destination under UDAN scheme. Alliance Air, a subsidiary of Air India, would operate flight on the Ahmedabad-Kandla route every weekday, according to a release by the Ministry of Civil Aviation.

The government has taken on Rs 29,400 crore of Air India’s total debt of about Rs 60,000 crore, leaving about Rs 30,600 crore on its books. Separately, its other liabilities amount to Rs 22,000 crore. Of the remaining debt of Rs 30,600 crore, about Rs 12,500 crore are against aircraft loans.
Domestic air passenger traffic grows by 3.98 per cent in October
The domestic air traffic last month consisted of 12.31 million passengers compared to 11.84 million passengers in the same month last year, a jump of 3.98 per cent, as per data.
