    Defence ministry sources say the Navy is the first among the armed forces to finalise a rationalisation plan for its capital acquisition projects, which ranges from withdrawing some tenders or Request for Proposals (RFPs) to reducing numbers in other mega programmes.

    The third edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha is being organised at Talkatora Indoor Stadium in Delhi. A total of 2,000 students and teachers will attend the event, of which 1,050 students have been selected through an essay competition. Officials said the event will start around 11.00 am and will also be broadcast on YouTube.

    This comes after states made little progress in setting up these centres, which was to be done following a Supreme Court ruling that mandated all public transport vehicles to have vehicle tracking systems and emergency buttons. The features were mandated from January 1, 2019.
