Relief for financial firms as RBI allows video KYC
In a move that will enable banks and fintechs onboard customers remotely, RBI has amended its norms to allow the ‘know your customer’ (KYC) process to be completed through a mobile video conversation. Western Railway has partnered with Fun Solar, a non-profit company, to instal solar-powered charging kiosks at stations. WR chief spokesperson Ravinder Bhakar said, “The kiosks have been installed at 15 stations, including Churchgate, Grant Road, Mumbai Central, Andheri, Borivli, Vasai, Boisar and Palghar.
