The amendment will take effect from April 1, 2020. The document explained that e-commerce operator -- an entity owning, operating or managing the digital platform -- will have to deduct one per cent TDS on the gross amount of sales or service or both.
Aadhaar enrollment touches the 125 crore mark
The Aadhaar, which was introduced in 2009, has crossed a new milestone achieved by crossing of the 125 crore mark. "This means that over 1.25 billion residents of India have the 12-digit unique identity," the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) said in a press release.
