I am investing in the following mutual funds every month:
Mirae Asset Large Cap Fund: Rs 4,000
Axis Bluechip Fund: Rs 4,000
Axis Focused 25 Fund: Rs 3,000
L&T Midcap Fund: Rs 3,000
Kotak Emerging Equity Scheme: Rs 3,000
SBI Small Cap Fund: Rs 4,000
Motilal Oswal Multicap 35 Fund: Rs 4,000
Kotak Standard Multicap Fund: Rs 3,000

I just want to know if these funds are good enough to invest for long-term, say, 5 to 7 years. I can take moderate risk. How much returns can I expect if I continue to invest for seven years?

Multi cap mutual funds are considered ideal for equity investors with a moderate risk profile. They can also invest in large cap mutual funds if they want to diversify and reduce the overall risk in the portfolio. The percentage of large cap would depend on the risk perception and return expectation of the investor.

You are currently investing in:
Large cap mutual funds: Mirae Asset Large cap, Axis Bluechip Fund
Multi cap schemes: Axis Focused 25 Fund, Motilal Oswal Multi Cap 35, Kotak Standard Multicap Fund
Mid cap scheme: L&T Midcap Fund, Kotak Emerging Equity Scheme
Small cap scheme: SBI Small Cap Fund

As you can see, you have investments in mid cap and small cap schemes. These schemes are not in line with your risk profile.

Mutual funds do not guarantee any returns. You may expect around 10-12 per cent returns in seven to 10 years from your mutual fund portfolio.
