I am planning to invest Rs 1,000 each in four mutual fund schemes of HDFC: HDFC Equity Fund, HDFC Top 100 Fund, HDFC Mid-Cap Opportunities Fund, and HDFC Capital Builder Value Fund.
Will I be charged Rs 100 for each mutual fund as a transaction charge?

Transaction charges are levied by the distributors. They also have the option of not charging you. You can check with your distributor. However, there are no transaction charges if you invest directly in mutual funds.
