Fitness is a priority for Su, as it helps him with his strategic thinking.
It is work from home with a baby on board for Arnold Su, business head, Asus India.

Apart from the scenic view from his window, there’s another thing that helps this business honcho stay cheerful: His eight-month- old baby. “Having a toddler around while working is a stress buster, especially during such tough times,” says Su.

While Su is usually shuffling between Taiwan (where his family lives) and Mumbai, where he is based, the lockdown has given him the chance to spend more time with his family at home.

Finding a balance
While it can be difficult to focus at times, Su credits advancement in tech for keeping everyone sane and connected. “Technological advancements have provided many tools that have eased the whole process of setting priorities and work timetables. It’s different from how I normally work, which gives me a totally different feeling of life,” says Su.

He adds, “This time has taught me about work-life balance the most. When I am away from home, I am focused on work completely. But this situation has provided me with an opportunity to prioritise time and enjoy all aspects that life has to offer.”

Down time
Apart from spending time with his family, reading and exercising keep Su motivated. “I like to read different books. The ones in my library belong to different sectors like business, science, history, fiction and technology,” he says.

Fitness is also a priority as it helps him with his strategic thinking. “Regular exercise helps me stay disciplined and healthy. Exercise time is me-time. I have made many business decisions during this time,” he says.
