Bheem, chose Princess Indumati, a village belle over his best friend Chutki, who ‘did so much for him’.
When it comes to social media, there’s plenty of outrage to be seen over politics, films and everything under the sun. But for the first time ever, Twitter was outraged over an episode of a kids’ show ‘Chhota Bheem’ in which its titular character, Bheem, chose Princess Indumati, a village belle over his best friend Chutki, who ‘did so much for him’.

Heartbreaks are quite common in films and shows but in a first, Twitterati empathised with the one who got her heart broken and demanded justice for her.

The outrageous plot twist got on Twitter’s nerves and the netizens churned out hilarious memes on the supposed ‘injustice’ meted out to Chutki.

‘It was Chutki who gave you ladoos every time and you married indumati,’ said this Twitter user and shared a photoshopped photograph of the iconic scene from the film ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’.

‘We can’t bear this. We want justice,’ wrote this Twitter user who photoshopped a still from the comedy show ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’.

Some netizens even took a stand for Tuntun Mausi.
Meanwhile, there were netizens who had no time for jokes and wrote long, evocative paragraphs on how Bheem played with Chutki’s emotions and even asked, ‘what about those laddoos bheem?’

The outrage on Twitter was apparently too much for the makers to handle. Releasing a statement on Facebook, the makers wrote, “We would like everyone to know that all the characters in the show including Chhota Bheem, Chutki and Indumati are all still kids. The viral news stating the characters got married is false and we request everyone to refrain from commenting on it.”

On behalf of Green Gold Animation, the makers of ‘Chhota Bheem’ said, “Let our favourite kids be children only and let us not bring love and marriage into their innocent lives.”

Chhota Bheem is a popular, animated TV character who has been massively successful and popular among kids and has had several spin-offs too. The show first aired on Pogo TV and Netflix released a spin-off titled ‘Mighty Little Bheem’ in 2018.
