The NSE Nifty index was trading 323.05 points up at 8964.5. 
NEW DELHI: YES Bank with over 0.52 crore shares changing hands was leading among the most traded stocks on NSE on Friday.

Shares of Vodafone Idea (number of shares traded: 0.39 crore), ICICI Bank (number of shares traded: 0.37 crore), SBI (number of shares traded: 0.33 crore), Ashok Leyland (number of shares traded: 0.21 crore), HDFC Life Insurance Company (number of shares traded: 0.19 crore), IDFC First Bank (number of shares traded: 0.14 crore), HDFC Bank (number of shares traded: 0.13 crore), Indiabulls Housing Finance (number of shares traded: 0.13 crore) and GAIL (number of shares traded: 0.12 crore) also featured among the most traded stocks on the NSE.

HDFC Bank (Rs 141.89 crore) was leading the pack of most active stocks in value terms.

It was followed ICICI Bank (Rs 137.64 crore), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd. (Rs 92.01 crore), RIL (Rs 78.69 crore), SBI (Rs 75.29 crore), HDFC (Rs 59.86 crore), Bajaj Finance (Rs 38.49 crore), Infosys (Rs 27.87 crore), Kotak Bank (Rs 25.28 crore) and Axis Bank (Rs 22.84 crore).

The NSE Nifty index was trading 323.05 points up at 8964.5 , while BSE Sensex was up 941.14 points at 30887.91 around 09:19 am.

In the Nifty index, IndusInd Bank (up 9.99 per cent), Axis Bank (up 9.99 per cent), ICICI Bank (up 8.28 per cent), Bajaj Finserv (up 7.69 per cent) and HDFC Bank (up 7.31 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Bharti Airtel (down 1.34 per cent), Hero MotoCorp (down 0.05 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation (down 0.62 per cent), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation (down 0.62 per cent) and Tata Consultancy Services (down 0.68 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
