EPFO portal: How you can log in to your account

Summary To log in to your account on the EPFO portal, it is important that your UAN is active. If your UAN is being activated for the 1st time, an SMS will be sent on your mobile number containing the password to login to the EPFO portal account.

The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation's (EPFO) Member e-Sewa portal allows EPF members to avail various services online. Some of the services you can avail on the website include viewing and downloading Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) statement, filing claim for withdrawal of money, transfer of EPF accounts, filing nomination etc.

To avail these services, you have to register yourself on the EPFO portal, after which you can login to the portal.

  • Registering on EPFO portal
Follow the steps mentioned below to register yourself on the EPFO Member e-Sewa portal:

Step 1: Go to Member e-Sewa portal: https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/
Step 2: Click on 'Activate UAN'. UAN stands for Universal Account Number.

Step 3: A new webpage will appear on your screen. You will be asked to enter any of the following details: PAN, member ID, Aadhaar or UAN. Other details that are mandatorily required to be entered are: Name, date of birth, mobile number (registered in EPFO records) and captcha code. All the details must be as per EPFO's records.

Step 4: Click on 'Get Authorization Pin'. A one-time password (OTP) will be sent on your mobile number. Further, a webpage will appear on your screen requesting you to verify the details entered by you.

Step 5: Enter the OTP in the designated area. Click on 'Validate OTP and activate UAN'.

Once your UAN is activated, an SMS will be sent on your mobile containing the password to login to the EPFO portal account. This password can be changed after logging in to your account.

  • Login to your account on EPFO portal
Once you have registered yourself on the EPFO portal by activating your UAN, follow the steps below to login to your account:
Step 1: Go to: https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/
Step 2: Enter the UAN, password and captcha code.
Step 3: Click on 'Sign in'.

Once the details are entered correctly, you will be logged into your account.
